A 6-month-old baby can eat anything and everything that the family eats. Unless there are proven allergies, you can give anything to the baby that is cooked at home.
Keep an eye on the baby to show allergic symptoms or rashes while introducing a new food.
Try introducing foods in the first half of the day so that by evening, the baby shows allergic symptoms if any and you can see a doctor.
Avoid salt and sugar in the food for 1 year.
Honey is best avoided till 1 year of age as it may cause botulism (a type of food poisoning).
Cow’s milk in direct form should not be introduced before 1 year but can be used as an ingredient while preparing food for the baby.
