You can begin night-weaning your child (not nursing at night).
Gradually substitute night-time sessions with water, back rubs, and other soothing techniques.
Sometimes, having a partner take over for a few nights could help.
Avoid substituting nighttime nursing with bottle feeding, as it has harmful effects and it doesn’t lead to night weaning.
If night-weaning isn’t working, consider trying again in a few months, when your baby is ready. Remember that it is only a habit, so it can always be broken; just be slow and easy.
