Some toddlers want to nurse most of the time. If that’s the case, remember that they will eventually break the habit naturally.
However, if you need some space between feedings, that’s completely okay. It’s understandable to create boundaries in such cases. The following are ways you can create boundaries:
– You can do this by diverting their attention to attractive toys or things in the house or taking them for a short outing.
– You can take the help of family members and have your own “me time” when your family member can take care of your little one, and you can increase the gap between two nursing feeds.
– Offer solid foods and other complementary foods to your little one. This will fulfill their nutritional needs and also increase the time gap between two breastfeeding feeds.
Create boundaries early on and inculcate healthy habits naturally by not nursing them every day when you don’t want to nurse.
