There are numerous Chickenpox vaccinations available.

The amount of the weakened virus may differ among them.

For adequate protection, children must receive two doses of the varicella vaccine. The first dose at 15 months of age and the second dose or booster should be between 4-5 years of age.

For people older than 12 years, two doses are given at least four weeks apart. All individuals should receive immunization twice.

Varicella may occur in 1% of children even after receiving the entire schedule of the varicella vaccination, but the illness is typically extremely insignificant.
