Vitamin A is present in food items which are rich in beta-carotene. This beta-carotene gets converted in the body into retinol, a type of Vitamin A. Hence, it’s essential to include good sources of beta-carotene in your diet.

The main food sources of beta-carotene are:

– Yellow, red, and green (leafy) vegetables, such as spinach, carrots, sweet potatoes, and red peppers.

– Yellow fruits, such as mango, papaya, and apricots.

– Non-vegetarian/non-plant sources such as liver, shark/ cod liver oil, egg yolk, whole milk, and butter.
