– At 9 months and above, your baby has matured enough to mash solid foods with their gums. Offer your baby a wide variety of cooked food including staple foods, dairy products, fruits, and veggies 3 times a day along with 2-3 healthy snacks in between.

– Instead of mashing soft foods, cut them into bite-sized pieces.

– It’s possible that your baby will begin to eat small pieces of soft food with their fingers at this age. Let them explore food on their own.

– Continue to feed your baby whenever they are hungry.

– Each meal should be simple yet nutritious and freshly prepared. Make the most out of every bite.

– Energy and nutrient-dense foods are a must for your baby. Along with grains and potatoes, your child should eat a variety of vegetables and fruits, legumes and seeds, a little amount of energy-rich oil or fat, and – if you feed them non-vegetarian food – animal foods (dairy, eggs, meat, fish) every day.

– Providing your child with a range of foods daily ensures that they receive all of the required nutrients.

– Do not use, a grinder, mixer, or blender for baby foods. Hand-mashed foods are better for your baby.
