That’s right! Breast milk or formula milk is the best source of energy and nourishment during the first year, and it should be your baby’s major food until they are 12 months old.

If the infant is exclusively breastfed for the first six months, continue this after weaning food; there is no need for formula.

If the infant is given formula milk for the first six months, continue this 3-4 times a day along with solid foods.

Remember not to overfeed the infant with formula as they are also eating solid foods. As your baby gets older and starts eating more solid foods, they will naturally want less breastmilk or formula milk.
