You can try feeding your baby the following:

– Rice mixed with dal, and other cereals like suji, ragi, bajra, jowar, and Sabu daana, and soups
– Hand-mashed dal and roti
– Cooked vegetables
– White, orange, green, and yellow vegetables every day in their diet
– Fruit
– Cooked and mashed egg
– Dairy foods such as unsweetened yogurt and full-fat cheese

Not recommended for babies are soups and juices, as they can take up space in the baby’s stomach that should be reserved for breastmilk. This may cause the baby to reject either solids or breastmilk.
